Rex Black elected new ISTQB president
Chairman of the American Testing Board now head of ISTQB

Mr. Rex Black, the owner of Rex Black Consulting Services, Inc., has been elected president of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). He is one of the most distinguished software test experts in the United States. Black succeeds Tilo Linz, who represents the German Testing Board and who headed the ISTQB since it was founded in 2002.
The members of the ISTQB thanked Tilo Linz for his engagement in building up the board, whose membership has grown from the original nine members in 2002 to 18 nations.
Representatives from national testing boards cooperate in the ISTQB to set up the global standard for the training and certification of software testers. More than 10,000 people have already been certified according to the ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level standard.
