The ISTQB® Successful Candidate Register (SCR) is the official global register of ISTQB® Certified Testers and recognizes the achievement of candidates who have passed ISTQB® certification examinations.

The SCR also provides a useful tool to help employers and organizations to verify the ISTQB® certificate(s) that an individual holds.

If you would like to be included in the SCR, please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider that is providing or provided your ISTQB® exam. Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee for uploading information to the SCR.

If you are having issues you can contact us but it is highly recommended that you contact the Member Board or Exam Provider that is providing or provided your ISTQB® exam in the first instance.

Employers or organizations seeking to verify a certificate and who cannot find information in the SCR should contact the Member Board or Exam Provider who issued the individual’s certificate (ISTQB® cannot provide information directly). Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee for certificate verification.

Yes, the SCR is a browser-based application that is available globally via the internet (follow the SCR link in the header of the ISTQB® website or go to http://scr.istqb.org).

The SCR is the official global register of ISTQB® certified individuals.

Please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider who provided your examination for further information. Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee for uploading data to the SCR.

Unfortunately, you cannot request that ISTQB® directly adds your information to the SCR as your certificate needs to be verified by the original certificate issuer and you will need to give permission for your data to be transferred to ISTQB®.

Please contact your Member Board or Exam Provider. Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee for uploading information to the SCR.

Please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider that issued the original certificate and they will arrange for an amendment.

Please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider that issued the original certificate and they will arrange for your information to be removed.

Please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider that issued the original certificate and they will arrange for the change in your name. Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee.

ISTQB® will not market to you using data that was provided for the purpose of listing on the SCR. Data is processed by ISTQB® in compliance with the EU GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation).

You can search for a person by name and the full certificate number to validate the certification. You can request additional information to further support validation such as the date and country of issue of a certificate and the certification body.

Not all individuals will be listed in the SCR (they may not have been added yet or refused to give consent). If an individual is not listed, please refer to the Member Board or Exam Provider that issued the original certificate for validation. Note: Member Boards/Exam Providers may charge a fee.

Please contact the Member Board or Exam Provider who provided your examination for information regarding your exam score.

The following data will be transferred to ISTQB® and displayed in the SCR:

  • Name (Family name and first name)
  • Certification and level (e.g. CTFL, CTAL-TM)
  • Certification date
  • Certificate number (displayed with some of the characters masked)
  • Country of issue
  • Certification body
  • Expiry date (if applicable).

Please note: personal data (e.g. date of birth, email address) will not be transferred to ISTQB® and will NOT be held in the SCR database. Data will only be transferred where an individual has given consent. Data is processed by ISTQB® in compliance with the EU GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation).

This helps to reduce fraud and adds a further level of validation. Anyone seeking to validate a certificate should know the complete number and be able to match this with the partial record displayed in the SCR.
