ISTQB® is pleased to announce that a new central register of successful candidates will be available on the ISTQB® website from June 2017. The Successful Candidate Register will list individuals who pass an ISTQB® certification examination (at all levels and across all modules) and who have given their consent to be included.

The scheme relies on a Body of Knowledge (Syllabi and Glossary) and exam rules that are applied consistently all over the world, with exams and supporting material being available in many languages.

At the ISTQB® General Assembly meeting in Seoul, Korea (October 2016), the ISTQB® Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer Certification syllabus (CTAL-TAE) was approved for general availability release.

ISTQB® is proud to announce that Mr. Robert V. Binder is the winner of the ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award 2016. The Award Committee selected Mr. Binder in recognition of his commitment to software quality and the testing profession over the past 24 years.
Mr. Binder is a high-assurance thought leader, serial entrepreneur, and system architect. He recently joined Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. He is a sought-after speaker and author of the definitive Testing Object-oriented Systems, two other books, and many articles. He is a model-based testing specialist who developed the multi-dimensional testing methodology. He co-chaired the X9 D14 working group adapting the ISO 9001 Quality Management standard to automated trading systems. As a member of IEEE working group P1633, Recommended Practice for Software Reliability Engineering, he drafted sections on software process and risk management. Mr. Binder received the MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the BA and MBA from the University of Chicago. He is an IEEE Senior Member, ACM
